Interview with Voyage Denver Magazine | Newborn Photography in Westminster
Voyage Denver reached out to me about being featured in their magazine and I was so honored! They were looking for “hidden gems” in and around the Denver area and wanted to hear more about how I got started doing newborn photography in Westminster. Of course, I was more than happy to share my story with them! I went from being bedridden with Chronic Lyme Disease to owning my own business… and it’s been quite the journey. They ended up publishing the article in their “Inspiring Stories” series. Isn’t that awesome?!
People often want to know how I got my start in photography, and I’m always happy to share my story. My path to professional newborn photography is probably a bit unconventional, but, honestly, I wouldn’t change a thing!
I love the section in the article that talks about my background in NICU nursing and how it relates to newborn safety during photography sessions. Having an understanding of newborn anatomy and physiology has helped me tremendously with my photography. Creating a safe atmosphere during a photo session is something I’m absolutely passionate about! I also love explaining to parents why I’m doing things a certain way. This way, they feel comfortable that I’m handling their baby with the utmost care and respect throughout the entire photography session.
I’m so glad I had a chance to tell Voyage Denver a little bit about the heirloom products I offer! I love that families can invest in beautiful artwork that will last for generations.
